Hey, I'm Charlene and I'm the founder of Chicago Southsider.

I was born in Englewood, raised in Auburn Gresham, and educated in Chicago's Bronzeville community.

In 2015, I represented Chicago in the Ms. Corporate America pageant and brought home the crown.

Then, I transitioned from Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the banking industry to financial journalist for major publications so that I could use media to help generate millions of dollars in our community.

I've written thousands of articles for publications all over the web, including Black Enterprise, American Express, Huffington Post, and The Motley Fool.

My content has produced more sales and exposure for small business owners across the country.

Now, I'm on a mission to use Chicago Southsider as a vehicle to circulate more dollars in our community and I'm so glad you are part of this vision.

If you enjoy our content and want to see more coverage of Chicago's South Side entrepreneurs or financial resources, I would love it if you considered an annual membership.

The monthly membership investment is $9.99 and the annual option is $99.99.

Every month, you'll get the Ultimate Scholarship Guide, Six-Figure Side Gig Guide, and Cash for Creators delivered to your inbox. You'll also help me showcase why Chicago's South Side is the best side : )

Thank you for your support!!
